The back story on this is that a football player named Demetrius was with his friends after the big game outside the locker room (known for being a popular hang out for douche coaches), and he talked to this guy named Coach Robinson for all of two minutes. Then he gave him his number and said "give me a call." The above is the messages he left. Listen to the whole thing, it just keeps getting better and better. I won't even tell you my favorite parts because i don't want to ruin anything. Just listen. - http://nunesmagician.blogspot.com

  • LOL @ the ppl dont get this.

  • you never played football

  • purple drank wat the fuck

  • Mostly it's because of how much collision there is. If I'm not mistaken, each posession allows up to six tackles in rugby before what's basically equivilent to a turnover on downs happens, while in gridiron football, a team could put together a drive that lasts over an hour of real time and maybe 20-30 tackles or even more could occur during that drive, although the average amount is probably closer to 10. It's mostly because of the toll it can take on the body.

  • I didn't see any 300-400 lb men in your video. But anyways, I'm not saying Rugby doesn't require toughness, it does. But gridiron football isn't a sissy sport, either. The two sports, although closely related, are different from each other. Even backyard football is different from the kind that they play in the NFL or from rugby, although kind of similar to the two. Backyard football has its own dangers if you live on hilly, rough terrain like I do. Each require different skillsets.

  • Rugby in general isn't played by 300-400 lb beefy linemen. Most rugby players are quite a bit smaller than that. Also, the rules on tackling are a little more strict. Tackles you can perform in the NFL you can't in rugby.

I'm not sure you know much about the history of American football, but deaths did occur yearly before the reforms of the early 20th century. They had what was called a "flying wedge" formation and would continually smash into each other.

  • Actually, it's true, from the way football is played, especially in the early days, fatal injuries were almost commonplace. Teddy Roosevelt actually threatened to ban football if some reforms weren't made. Reforms were made, such as the foreward pass, but still as the linemen got bigger, the game continued to be dangerous. Ask yourself this, would YOU want to have a 300 pound linemen run into you at 15 mph while you're also running 15+ mph?
