http://worldofwarcraft.tgn.tv — DPS rundown series, episode 8 of 22: Feral Druid!

We look at the spec and rotation for a Feral Druid, and analyze the testing results via Recount. All testing is done against a raid boss dummy with no buffs besides basic class abilities. Gear is level 333 premade junk.

Mercifully, the feral cycle has been simplified since WotLK. Savage Roar is no longer your top priority; rip is, followed by maintaining Mangle and Rake. Your bleeds (including shred) make up 65% of your damage. Mastery is extremely effective for cats.

  • @TheColaPrince play what you want, learn it, have fun

  • @TheColaPrince Go druid, there is more potential in what you feel like doing. If you feel like tanking, and then get tired and want to dps you can. Or you can dps balance OR If your balance dps you could also dual-spec resto with the mana you got and heal. Rogue = dps only...

  • @TheColaPrince Yes, but you'd remember not be tank- tanking as feral can be very hard for new players, but feral druid focused on cat for is perfect. Don't pick rogue as your first character, he needs good equipment and a lot of skill to be played well.

  • Is Feral Druid ok to new players to WoW? I want to start a Feral Druid or Rogue

  • @7w1573r lol look at date look at gear...an wtf you do x3 times hes dps...that is what? only 18k dps -_- you sir..suck

  • This is pretty old, I have some new videos on speccing, reforging, talents, gemming, macro's, rotation, all that kind of thing, more tailored to PvP than PvE, but useful nonetheless.

  • @7w1573r Look at the date sir.

  • @DarkArmor83 No, Hit isnt important for a Feral Druid either is Expertise. You only need 26 expertise which in DS content there is ton of Expertise gear so it gotten alot harder to get it exactly at 26. For hit, its pointless for a Feral Druid. Mostly all you need is Mastery > Haste > Crit > 26 > Hit.

  • I think you're mistaken.. as for any class it is important to stay capped on hit and expertise... Therefore... savage roar is highly valuable.. while you struggle to get rip up with a shorter CD you still have your auto attack to lean on to give you that little edge for your dps not to fall... at level 83 i was pulling 9k on a dummy...
