Sestak on Health Care

WHITE HOUSE President Obama has announced the three bedrock requirements for real health care reform: Reduce Costs- Rising health care costs are crushing the budgets of governments, businesses, individuals and families and they must be brought under control. Guarantee Choice-Americans must have the freedom to keep whatever doctor and health care plan they have, or to select a new doctor or health care plan if they choose. Ensure Affordable Care for All- All Americans must have quality and affordable health care. Now we have to show Congress where the American people stand.

As a constituent of PA-7, I don't think the Public Option goes far enough. While the uninsured are certainly a concern, I am most angry and afraid of the those ones (like myself) who are insured, but still have to pay medical bills because the insurance companies find loopholes as to why they shouldn't pay the claims. It is like I am paying twice. We need a Single Payer Health Plan. I wrote you a few months ago about this very issue when my wife had medical bills in relation to her pregnancy.
