Could it be that the TB drug caused the kidneys to fail?
-
My Grandmother is dying from renal failure. She was fine until she put on a drug for TB. Her test produced a false positive result, and based on that, the doctor put her on Rifampin. They told her to ignore the urine staining and such. It made her vomit, but they told her it would pass. The vomiting didn' t cease until she finished the course. She's filling up with fluid, and has labored breathing. She has maybe 5 days left-if she lasts that long.

Drs are NOT addressing the fact that FLUOROQUINOLONES, which the general public has been lead to believe are "safe" antibiotics, even though they are synthetic POISONS, are a leading CAUSE of kidney failure. Yet they remain on the market, prescribed to treat simple infections, WITHOUT WARNING. A Black-Box has recently been placed on them (for tendon rupture) AFTER Public Citizen filed several petitions... Johnson & Johnson just LOST the 1st of THOUSANDS of lawsuits recently filed.

@megaman2160 i think thats related to Diabetes, which also lead to Renal failure

can you have kidney failure at any age
megaman2160 2 years ago
Im afraid so, from a wide variety of causes, in young children I think the most common cause is ongoing urinary tract ascending infection as a result of reflux of urine from the bladder into the ureter and kidney. These infections must be recognised and long term antibacterials given until the bladder has grown and developed.

I just found out my sister has this. only 20% of her kidneys are working. I'm so scared. =[.

Dear Zeran,
I am sorry to hear this. However she may be OK on 20% function as long as the condition does not get any worse. Have you seen a good local doctor?
I wish you both well,
John
