After EWU scored on the first possession of overtime, N. Dakota St. got their turn on offense. With the Bison facing second-and-goal at the Eastern Washington 4-yard line, QB Brock Jensen was hit by J.C. Sherritt and the ball came loose when his hands hit the turf. Zach Johnson recovered in the end zone. An official review didn't overturn the call and fans stormed the field.

EWU moves on to host Villanova next week at The Inferno in the semifinals.

  • @Russman21 again that was my brother talking and not me, and I didn't see the actual play myself.

  • @Boohead86 This was not a bad call. You cannot fumble the ball forward and recover it in the end zone. Otherwise, teams who were on the brink of loss (like this one) could roll it forward when they were about to get tackled (like they just did).

  • @mykcrawford congrates to all the eagle fans (BTW, were not all still complaining :) )

  • @mykcrawford I didn't say that. My brother was probably on and he didn't sign out. I did not see the play otherwise.

  • Brock Jensen graduated in my high school and he's still an amazing quarterback

  • @clapinc That's our problem. IF we can win in the playoffs. We had many opportunities to beat Wofford last year in the 2nd round. The wheels fell off at the end of the year. Lost 3 of the last 4 games.

  • @alastormspotter JSU had a great team last year. If they can find a way to win in the playoffs they'll be dangerous this year.

  • As a Jacksonville State grad, I give epic respect to EWU and NDSU. Great teams. We're building a powerhouse at JSU this year. Will definitely surprise some people.
