The 2009 Bergen County Girls Soccer final did not disappoint, as two of the premier teams in the state fought for over 90 minutes in to overtime to decide who would bring the trophy home. IHA in white came out with an assault on Northern Highlands goal. Highlands goalkeeper, Kiki Broder, put on the quintessential goalie clinic with save after miraculous save, keeping her team alive. It was a little over 5 minutes left in OT when Tara Wilkes blasted a shot from the left that found the back of the net and gave Immaculate Heart Academy their third Bergen County Championship in a row. Congratulations to both teams on an awesome display!

...brings me back memories...I was a fan of the Northern Highlands girls soccer team. I was a bit surprised with how Kiki was a great goalkeeper to the point that she saved the ball many times (while I know her personally from school). Not to mention the good saves during the state game against Hopewell.
