Strange object in background! WTHR Channel 13 News

From WTHR (Channel 13)'s 11:00pm "Nightbeat" newscast on Thursday, 21 May 2009: live coverage of a police action shooting on the west side, not too far from the speedway. But while they conduct the police interview, the studio switches to some footage shot at the scene. Watch the background for a strange, out-of-place, but familiar object. When I first saw it I thought I was hallucinating.
