Me vlogging about the current state of Stargate and TPTB. They dont seem to appreciate the fans as much as I think they should. Do they owe us anything, no.. but it would be in their best interest to keep the people happy that have made them popular over the years..

@LtColPayPay SGU started on Friday. It tanked horribly in the ratings, something which "The Gates" (SG-1 and SGA) never did. SciFi Friday in those days was a force to be reckoned with. The trash that has followed in its footsteps is a shadow of that former glory. Granted, Season 2 improved significantly, but the horrid performance of Season 1 is what caused SyFy to move it around the schedule.

Excuse me, I totally agree with this guy. He uploaded this 3 years ago, and he thinks like me. Why would we even invest in Stargate Universe, when 'they' delibrately ended atlantis to start universe. Also, at one stage Atlantis had enough ratings to keep even SG1 alive. I bought every season of Atlantis, and this is what happens?. To make it even worse, one of the writers said in a interview that he blames the fans for not giving Universe a chance. WTF. You should have seen the comments. lol

I got about maybe seven episodes in then I stopped. It felt like a bad soap opera to me with a few problems. First and foremost: when the water was contaminated. I'm sorry, but i'm pretty sure that if it were SG1 or Atlantis they would've sent in experts using the stones to see what was going on. Especially since, if i remember right, Jack Oneil was one of the people that they mentioned the problem too. But i didn't watch many episodes, so i can't really criticize the whole series... yet.

@hiyukenmusic Yeah, except in the case of Seinfeld, that came from a well-known comedian and the network committed to more than one or two seasons from the get-go. The same can be said for The Office (which I personally detest) because the UK version had run for quite some time and they figured it would pick up a following. SGU got a 2-season deal at the cost of a 6th season of SGA. That was an epic fail right there. SG-1 and SGA boosted each other in rating when they ran concurrently.

@fmcc0904 What show isn't going to have writing issues in Season 1. Ticks weren't their biggest flaw. Their biggest flaw was playing around with the "ship is alive" story line that they abandoned about 2 or 3 times. But can you honestly say that if the ratings for Seinfield or the Office in their first season should've dictated whether the network should've committed to a 2nd or 3rd. If that's the case shows would only be written for one season. Beyond that who ends in a cliff hanger!!!!

@fmcc0904 See SGU all 40 episodes on Netflix in HD then repost...until then STFU. SyFy didn't promote the show. I saw the last 4 episodes in a back to back marathon that's how I got hooked then when I went back and saw all 40 I am convinced it has the best developed characters in any science fiction show...Rush's character is AWESOME!!!! If you look at ratings then go eat at the slop bucket with the rest of the pigs.
