Ruth McGinnis died Oct.6, 2009 with her 3 year battle of ovarian cancer. So sad! The Julliard trained violinist was outstanding. Her books and music were gems.

No, the other poster was right, this is most certainly Bach's famous Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring." Canon is similar in style, but quite distinct in its own right as a piece of music. There are many good performances of Pachlebel's "Canon in D" on youtube, so you can search one out and make a comparison.
