in the rest of the set he's playing guitar so i think it's just because they got the mic up front and not set up at the piano for him to do the song.
this song is just beautiful.

Yeah, but in a way I think it lets him concentrate more on how he is singing the song. His voice seemed more...uniform like he wasn't just "doing what he felt" it was more precise.
