Just a hint -- if you like precise weather, then I suggest Davis Vantage Pro since Davis Instrumental is really accurate.

Do you want to be a meteorologist?

Hello there, I have my weather station about 5x that high because it's better for the wind i think that needs to be higher.

great display.... useful..

I am sorry to say that I was actually the first one to do an unboxing video of a weather professional weather station (that was La Crosse Technology).

@MeathWeatherCam The manual says nothing about inserting batteries into the solar panel itself.
-
@1AppleMaker ..and the price is triple of what this unit is.
I hope you have plugged in the battery inside of the solar panel. This is not plugged in yet. On the back of the panel are a set of screws, that need to be removed. Remove the cover and you will see the batterypack. Plug in the connector and put it all back. After few days it will be fully charged, and will give the sensors backup power.

@y0r00t Haha thanks so much. I've just opened it up now and connected the battery! I dont remember it saying that in the manual! :P
I've had the solar panel up for about a year now with the battery plugged out! I never knew!
Thanks again.

@U124IXB The forecast on the display you mean? That's the stations own predictions, it doesn't get forecasts from the internet...

First of all, the video was great. You covered basically everything; perfect unboxing. 5*
Secondly, this is the coolest gadget I have ever seen, and I can imagine spending countless geek-hours staring at the screen, pointlessly observing things I didn't need to know. I've always wanted a weather station like this, and I think the price can be totally justified.
Finally, I love your accent!
PS. I noticed the impressive quality of the HD video; what did you use to record this?

Thanks for the comment. It's a Panasonic SD9 Full HD camcorder.
