HOMAGE TO MY FATHER - Doctor Scat

DOCTOR SCAT (Dr. Mark Weiss, PhD) has been using his remarkable voice as an improvising jazz instrument for over thirty years. In addition to performing throughout the mid-south, this son of a jazz master has taken his bebop scat singing overseas, performing at jazz clubs and festivals in Copenhagen, Paris and the Hague.

This particular clip is an excerpt from his "Jazz & The Spirit" concert series. As the title suggests, this is an homage to his father, the late Sid Weiss, legendary bassist with the Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman Bands.
