Nice twisting yourself. The original argument wasn't an argument at all, it was my question, and you punted to the Christian monks.
This is an awkward forum for any debate/question/etc. in the first place, IMHO. Do you know of a better one?

@iEatBoneDust You're right, Eat. Quite obviously we should all follow Hitler. (S)
Maybe you should consider joining up with some more skinhead sites than YouTube?

@fargonbastedge We SHOULD "gang up" against Islam. It has NO PLACE in this 21st century.

Sorry if I jumped in in the middle of something, but I have a question...
Why would anyone that is so devoted to God need to be called to a certain place or into a certain position, or mostly at certain times in order to pray?

@blardosplats I think you're stumbling on the word need. Prayer can be done anywhere. It doesn't need to be done at a mosque. As for certain times, you should probably ask the Christian monks. As for a place, ask those who went to Canterbury on pilgrimage, or the masses that today go to Jerusalem. As for certain positions, there are a billion Catholics who genuflect- and more Christians who do this odd communion sacrament thing. Every religion has it's cult.

@abdulmuhib
I don't know about Christian monks either. Maybe people are called to prayer at those times in the day when God can be bothered to listen and ignore the helpless?
Thanks for your response. I just find a lot of this stuff silly in a world where God already knows everything, and so many of his devotees go about killing each other in his name.

@blardosplats No. God listens at all times. What he's about is listening to the helpless. That's his thing. He is a servant, after all.
I think you are misinformed. It is the Hu-mans who go about killing each other. They don't need a God to get into that.

@abdulmuhib
So, God listens to the helpless, but doesn't do anything to help them? Prayers are everywhere like snowflakes, dust, and raindrops, yet still so many are helpless.
Is God some kind of freak then, that he enjoys having the power to help the helpless and yet does nothing for them?
Yes, humans kill each other, but what would you expect from a helpless creation, something Godlike?
He isn't serving humanity so well, is he?

@blardosplats Well, you certainly have a right to that opinion, but I would not agree with it.
On your second point, you are twisting the words around to a completely different argument. The previous discussion was that one doesn't need to be religious to kill someone. Now you are saying therefore that humans are helpless and therefore they kill each other.

@blardosplats This ignores the original argument, which you are therefore granting, that the non-religious kill equally, and God is not needed for that. Since I don't agree with your basic premise, I also can not agree with your ipso facto.
