@star1scream No - anything much larger than the head of a finishing nail will be immediately apparent. The area you fill will look like a big brown plastic disc embedded in the floor. Depending on how deep your indentations are, you might have other options if you're desperate to avoid reflooring.

will this work on crack on 4x4's and 2x6's. i just had 3 decks made and they are 5 weeks old and they are all cracking up on some of the 4x4's they have some 1/2in wide cracks in them

I have wood paneling around my fireplace, i hung my flat screen TV above it and obviously ran wire through the wood paneling, resulting in anywhere between 1/2in and 3/4 holes...any ideas on how to fill those holes in? Would that wood putty do the trick and some stain?

I recently picked up set of wooden chairs from a yard sale. One of the chair arms has been chewed up by the family pet, and I had thought about sanding the arms on the whole set down so that they would be the same, but that's a lot more work than I had planned on putting into this project. Is there a way to use wood putty to remold just the end of the arm that was chewed, and will I be able to stain it so it blends with the rest of the chair?.

@oneguyincalifornia actually i just found this stuff called 'Brummer wood filler' while searching google and it sounds like the way to go... i just hope i can find this stuff in home depot or something..

@oneguyincalifornia LOL i'm basically searching for the same reason as you my friend.. but i just want to reposition my studs without them being loose and grind the trem cavity like 5 hairs over because i think my high E string is a tad to close to the edge of the neck thus easily slipping off =/ some good wood filler and minor sanding should do the trick i just don't know what to use for the wood. have you found a good solution yet?

I have an area approx. 8 inches in diameter where the sofa bed has left quarter size indentations in the floor. do i have to refinish the entire living room floor or will this technique work on something sized as described above? Help!!

This method will not work. You'll end up with discs of solid color.

My cat scratched the footboard of my bed. The scratches are pretty deep, will this putty work in filling those scratches?
Thanks

Not well. Contact a wizard furniture repair specialist that works with hard lacquer and a small box that contains an alcohol lamp. Keep calling until you locate someone who has this equipment.
