Boston Bruins defenceman Johnny Boychuk brought the crowd to its feet early in the second period when he levelled Matt Ellis with a hard, clean and devastating hit as the Buffalo forward carried the puck toward his own blue-line. A shaken Ellis grabbed his head while lying on the ice and skated slowly to his bench, but made a beeline for the dressing room right after.
