I also prefer Dean Solteros hands down.

Epiphone guitars suck!!
-
this says a nostaligia pick up in the neck. not a time capsule?
-
Sounds decent for using just a pod. Definitely getting a deceiver death machine as my next axe.
-
It sounds like crap beause they used a POD modeler instead of a real tube amp. It sounds like a toy.
-
i prefer the soltero
-
That solo was from Some Like It Hot, amirite?

Epiphone Les Paul 100 > Dean Deceiver FM

im looking at a dean Vx guitar. Can i tune it down to drop A if i have thick enough strings? and also, is it good for death metal? I looking 4 a crushing death metal tone like Nile, Cannibal Corpse, Putrid Pile, Kataklysm, Morbid Angel, that sort of shit.

You can basically tune any guitar down to drop A with a heavy enough gauge of string. The Tyrant X and any of our string-thru body design guitars, such as the DeceiverX, the Mustaine VMNT or an ML will definitely give you the performance your gunning for. They lean to a tighter sound with more sustain. Cool man!
