DOTS treatment far superior to other TB treatments...a patient's testimony

I work as a TB medical officer at TB clinics run by SRH, Kukatpally, Hyderabad. Though India has the highest number of TB cases and deaths than all other countries in the world, it is indeed a tragedy that the public is not aware of the most effective treatment for TB...DOTS. DOTS i.e. directly observed treatment, short course, provides free consultation, diagnosis [based upon sputum examination] and drugs to every patient who gets registered at the various health centers provided for every one lakh of population. Public ignorance concerning DOTS and apathy on the part of private medical practitioners who are unwilling to refer their TB patients to the DOTS system are depriving the country from reaping the full benefits of DOTS. One person is dying every minute in India on account of TB...a preventable disease, and one for which the most effective treatment, DOTS, is available free of cost. Will you not do something to improve this bleak scenario?
In this video which I have uploaded, the patient was diagnosed to have TB of the lungs by a private medical practitioner and was started upon TB drugs. He purchased the prescribed drugs and had no improvement whatsoever even after taking the drugs every day for three weeks. Fortunately, a friend of his [whose mother had earlier been healed of her TB at our center] happened to know of his condition and was good enough to bring him to our center. He was started on DOTS and he regained his hunger with the very first dose he took! His parents also told him that he was looking 'good' for the first time after several weeks.
When he came for the second dose of medicines on 27th July 2010, after stating the purpose of the video and taking his oral permission, I filmed this video clip.
