@hummmph >Don't like the pension that TAXPAYERS are paying you?
Oh, I forgot that the taxpayers decide what the pensions for public sector workers are.
(Hint: They don't, so that argument is bunk)

@hummmph Well, there's a simple solution, then.

@hummmph When I made that video, I was working in the private sector.
Or, to put it another way - fuck you.

People have to work longer. Why don't we just keep throwing it on the Germans?

A conservative government is thinking of banning strikes (protests against it's policies)?

This may be a stupid notion but If David Cameron was really serious he would be saying that he would also take a pay cut.This of witch he speaks of now longer living age etc. is common rhetoric today, but I am skeptical if it is as accurate(if at all)as he would like us to believe It used to be that it was our right to live in a good society.Now we don't talk about rights but rather the cost.
But better yet he could be talking about tax increases on the rich and perhaps the middle class as well?

@Stonegoal @Stonegoal The number of transistors which can be fitted into a particular space doubles every 18 months; that is what leads to an increase in computing power. Look up Moore's law.
You are correct about lack of compatibility and you are also correct to blame patents and trade marks for it. Copyright laws like the DMCA also get in the way of compatibility to the extent that building some hardware from scratch is cheaper than using the same model as another company.
Knowing many teachers the working longer, paying more and getting less are the key issues. If your a teacher who is 40 years old, has spent twenty years in the profession and was expecting to retire in twenty years these changes are highly unfair.

@jancrowb The current Afghan government is at least a democracy; hardly ideal but certainly much better than the Taliban and it has at least let the Afghan economy grow.
Was Eire ruled by a totalitarian dictatorship?
China could actually pose some resistance to an invasion by NATO; invading it would be too costly.
Mugabe will die soon anyway. If his successor is to be as bad as he is, however, then that successor should be (and could easily be) overthrown.
