@Vayshen it works up,some ballads do. but tis a ballad, and will always be a ballad,and work best as a ballad chet s version makes me absolutely ache....musical masochism i guess . as Cracker said "i LIKE it!".

@Creolelady281 more nat than bill. bill s voicings & comping way deeper than this.but then he didnt have to sing too.only nat cole could really sing and play jazz piano,tight swinging near flawless rythmn. know it s not fair to compare her to nat or bill. but you did mention evans. she's good, but gets stuck with her comping & drags the rythmn sometimes. believe, i know how that goes& welcome your critique of my try. (tania maria CAN TOO ! left a couple out.sure you ll remind me)

@tumerica Eriko's a wonderful pianist and singer! I heard her live yesterday - a great pleasure.
About her "L"s - she lives in London, and her Ls are perfect North London Ls, not American ones (which are a lot "harder", in the Russian sense).

@bigdaddy1946 Tony Bennett does it about this tempo with Bill Evans on piano. Love songs don't have to be slow. And if anything, this is also a relatively happy song.

Great style and jazz sense, but have to work on the enunciation of Ls. Piano work alone is plenty. The comments above must be referring to Diana Krall. Diana's voice is lower than Eriko's. Both play jazz piano and are gorgeous, though.
