The GS Trophy, a concept devised by BMW Motorrad, is an off-road event which offers normal motorcyclists the chance to participate in a life-changing enduro experience. This year, for the first ever adventure, teams from Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan and the USA were invited to Tunisia for an unforgettable ten days in the desert, which included challenging team events and tasks designed to push the riders off-road skills to the limit.

no, i guess not. i think that theirs a tool for every job, and these bikes are not the right tool for this job. if i was going to ride across italy on only dirt roads and trails, i wouldnt hesitate to take a big bore enduro bike like these. but in the loose sand, i'l stick with my racer. =]

I don't think you really understand the whole point of the event.

those thinks look miserable in the soft sand. there too heavy. get a 2 stroke motocross bike for the loose stuff, motocross bikes are nice and light so they don't sink like those big fat ones do.
