The Constitution protects us from imposing Sharia Law, as it protects from the imposistion of Jewish Law, or any other religious law. Newt is just playing to the "fear du jour"--Muslim Extremists.

First of all there is Nothing called Sharia Law. Sharia Law doesn't exist, it doesn't even makes sense literally.

Second, I think what they mean is The Sharia, using "the" to refer to Islamic Law.

Most Muslims don't even know what it is.

It's like dummies claiming to know what Evolution is. You don't know what it is unless you've studied it for at least 2 years.

Sharia is a heavy subject in Islamic studies, it takes a good 5 years to know what Sharia is.

Oh boy, you're quite the scholar, citing a Fox "News" program as a definitive source. The Florida court ruling didn't allow the judge to use Sharia Law in the court, all it did was allow the parties in the civil suit to pursue arbitration using Sharia law, which was their original agreement.
