    skibikeride2000, As the bottle is driven downward (notice it's not sitting on an immovable surface), the liquid tends to not move with it. The tiny spaces, vacuums, that form in the bottom are the consequence of the bottle moving downward faster than the liquid. What's surprising, is how much force is generated when the vacuum sucks the liquid back to the bottom, slamming the bottom out of the bottle.

    I've been told that this doesn't work with anything except for water, because it'll fizz when you shake it, ruining the vacuum.
