Supposed "time traveler" in Chaplin premier footage from 1928

The quality of this clip leaves much to be desired, but it's cropped, zoomed and level-adjusted to give a better look at the woman who is supposedly a time traveler holding a mobile phone. It looks to me more like she's scratching her head, but what fun would that be, right?

Boy, some people seriously have too much time on their hands. It just looks like she's blocking the sun from her eyes to me. Even if it was a time traveler, who could she call on a cell phone? There weren't any satellites or cell phone towers or any kind of receiver that could have communicated with it.
