This is a complete list of the organ tracks played in the "Fairground Organ" loop played by Merry-Go-Rounds and Carousels in Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 & 2.

These tracks were originally recorded in 1976 by the C.J. Mead Organisation, from a Voigt Model 35 69-Keyless Street/Band Organ at Bressingham Steam Museum, Norfolk. Called the Bressingham Voigt, it remained there for many years, but was eventually sold and now performs in the Netherlands. The record was owned by Chris Sawyer's father, and it's tracks were used in both RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 & 2. From what I understand, all of these songs are original arrangements from the Ruth Fair Organ Company.

Each of these eleven videos contain one of the songs, are numbered in the order they appeared in in-game lists and on the original LP, with the name of the song, as well as it's original writer.

#1: Children of the Regiment (Die Regimentskinder Marsch) [Julius Fucik]
#2: Heken's Serenade [John Heyken]
#3: In Continental Mood [Unknown]
#4: Wedding Journey [Traditional]
#5: Tales from the Vienna Woods [Johann Strauss]
#6: Slavonic Dance [Traditional]
#7: Das Alpenhorn [Traditional]
#8: The Blond Sailor [Traditional]
#9: Poet & Peasant Overture [Franz van Suppe]
#10: Waltz Medley [Johann Strauss]
#11: Bella Bella Bimba [Traditional]

  • Is it just me, or does this Song always play if you are in a bad financial Situation ?

  • @Gigidag77 I've never played this game and manage to even be in a good financial situation.

  • its 3:50-3:54

  • I see what you mean now.

  • i love this composition on fairground organ but it bothers me that they re wrote the transition

  • Really? It's no different than a few other versions I've heard on various fair organs.

Which part do you mean? Write the time it appeared so we can see.

  • I was listening to a new set of classical music CDs, and I got to this song, which I'd never heard of before. It sounded familiar and I didn't know why. I finally figured out that I heard it on the Merry Go Round on RollerCoaster Tycoon.

  • Dichter Und Bauer

  • I always named my Merry Go Round The Magic Menagerie, made it free, made it on the big hill in Dynamite Dunes so everyone could see it, kept the tiger and elephant in that location, and kept the window open ALWAYS.

  • This songs always good for the rain

  • Even though I know it's wrong, I can't help but sing "I've been working on the railroad..." around 1:00.

  • Starting at 2:00 is the best part

  • I've memorized every song this Merry-Go-Round plays!!

  • The first time I heard this piece of Suppe, it was played on a 112-key Mammoth Gavioli in Falmouth (England). The electricity was supplied by a canopied Burrell traction engine which had towed the organ to the site. I must have been about 10 & was on holiday. Every evening, I ran away from our hotel to listen for hours to the Gavioli, returning stinking of sulphur and covered in steam coal smuts; but happy - my poor parents.

  • I have a copy of the CD from which these tunes were used for the game. The organ is a model 35 Voigt (Ruth) organ known as the Bressingham Voigt. My only gripe is that the arranger condensed the piece a bit.
