Never had this LP, but the group Switch was later became DeBarge and the released their first LP in 1981 entitled "The DeBarges".

NOOO! You've recorded and kept that one, man...? I had completely forgotten about it, for real; it had gone out of my mind ! Oh, how I like the light effect, and the succession of the different pictures, the pictures of 'em playing with that motion/animation effect of back in the days...See, all of that;just that, it represent that whole era for me...I've found lots and lots of other TV commercial of the 1970s & 1980s I kept in mind, and today's commercial can't beat the old ones ! Style !!!

WOW!!! I can't believe you still had this! So glad you shared it! I loved Switch, I wasn't a big Debarge fan of the 80's but I was a huge Switch fan.

The ending v/o was by the late Victor Bozeman.

Has this been re-issued on CD or iTunes?

I believe "Switch" album TV ad came from KNBC in Los Angeles.

I was a toddler/preschooler when this was out!

Damn ... I really like these old ads...there's something about it...I don't know... different !! t'was done in another way, vintage effects;seems passed,old... but GOOD...!!! aaaah ...nostalgia of a bygone era...

YEP!
Are you sure this commercial came out in 1978? I know the self entitled album from Switch came out that same year and Switch II came out in 1979, I've got the album to prove that.

I'm pretty sure this is from '78 since a complete newscast was included in this recording, but I'll have to go back and check. It was on a station that aired "Soul Train" and I think this was meant to be shown during that, but it ran during a public affairs show an hour or so later.
