I took this video to show how my legs spasm. These spasms were pretty calm. I didn't get any of the big ones while I was doing to video. I have had these since my spinal injury, but the past week they have been constant mixed with bigger ones.

  • It's out of my realm since I don't have this problem, but I'm up on it, so I know what you and Tom are talking about.

I guess I won't be invited to the You Tube spasm gathering. Rats! :D

  • Come along and bring some friends lol I've got plenty to share!

How have you been? I haven't heard from you in forever.

  • Oh my God! Life has been crazy this past year. You wouldn't believe what's been going on if I told you, but I think the dust is settling now.

On second thought, you would believe it. ABs are the ones who wouldn't believe it. Everything is cool now though. ;-)

  • I'm so glad things are better now!

LOL not only will there be beer. I'll bring Canadian beer!

  • I take baclofen for spasms.

Maybe we could spasm together sometime.,

    - sorry - heeheehee

  • I've tried every drug we could find. A couple of Neurologists and a Physiatrist talked about a Baclofen Pump, but I'm still not convinced because it is a lot of work to keep up with the refilling, finding the right dosage etc. and me and a surgery every 5 yrs or so to replace it. Other surgeries were mentioned and I think that's the route I'm going to have to take.

LOL if I'm ever in your area I'll look you up and we can spasm together while we talk about all things quad!

  • why does tht happen?

  • I get a lot of spasms at night when I go to bed. I think it's because I straighten my body out then. It can last anywhere from a few minutes to 15 minutes or longer. If I press on y legs it gets worse. The only way to stop it is to pick my legs up so my feet are not touching anything and hold them there for a bit and very gently put them back, but it comes back a lot too.

  • Really warm baths do help me a bit, but once I cool off they start again.

  • None taken. Even though I had TM it is still considered a Spinal Injury because my spinal cord was technically injured when it was swollen so much it pressed against the inside of my spine. All of my medical records refer to it as a Spinal Injury.

  • Hey please don't take offense to this, but why do you refer to it as your spinal injury? I thought your paralysis was caused by that disease called transverse myelitis?

  • Looks like a mild form of a seizure resulting from ineffective neurological signals sent from spinal column to the muscles in your leg. May I ask what caused the spinal cord injury? I love human anatomy. Thanks :)

  • I've started to have spasms and I take alotta warm hot baths and it helps me.

  • how often do you have to do and how long does the klonus when you offer? it helps you, if you based on your thighs or the feet firmly to you or your zehenmmassiert?
