I would have liked the scene to have been played this way in the final film but I doubt the censors at the time would have allowed it.

@watayapupuya Hm. Of course he could have been a gay man pretending but bisexual people do exist, you know. It's a very common misconception, especially among gay men, that bisexual people, especially men, don't exist. That they're all just faking it. But that's not true. In his case, I don't think we can ever know for sure what he was.
