@Vydio Perhaps they believed that Calhoun kidnapped Sue Ellen just to rattle JR, and having already done that, he would have gone after JR directly next.

@forexrobots212 A waste of time .... he'd already kidnapped Sue Ellen. All they accomplished was changing their location.

Their belief was that Calhoun was primarily after JR and evacuating the wives and the boys would keep them out of the line of fire. Obviously, they had no idea what Calhoun's real plan was.

At this point I thought it was silly for them all to run off to California. Calhoun would have found them wherever they went.
