Here is a run through of some of the sounds of the Airline Tux. Pretty cool guitar very 5o's look and sound with a modern setup and feel. Played thru a Blues Jr.

  • hello..i been stalking around for weeks now on this guitar..u seem highly inteligent on guitars..is this guitar worth the 800 bucks STANDARD. pls respond u may be my final reason of purchase

  • If this guitar meets your needs in terms of sound and style, I'd say it is a very good purchase regarding value/price. I upgraded it to met my needs but you might not need to.

    thanks for watching

    Tim

  • What saddles did you use. I'd like to do the same. Thx.

  • @itsonlyrcknroll I'm not sure, they were just left over from a previous guitar. but they seem to be standard tune-o-matic type brass saddles

  • Cool guitar and cool playing Tim!!

I hope to meet you one day!!

  • @anitadavideduo I hope so too Davide.

  • Very nice playing. I like all the styles you use in this demo. I'll bet this guitar would sound even better through a nice tweed amp.

  • Can't get enough of your playing, Tim. I will have to sit down one day and jam to or transcribe your videoes. Love it. Thanks for sharing, and all the best to you.

  • @Eulanugent yeah indeed the bridge is bad i recplaced it with a tonepro (they make bridges for Gibson) bridge and the problem is gone im not sure if the tailpiece is bad but i will replace it for a Bigsby ! otherwise a great guitar for blues , rockabilly and that kind of music !

  • @vokes113

Depends. If you like working on guitars-this one needs work right out of the box. Frets are great, intonation great.

Everything he replaced-NEEDS TO BE DONE. I just rec'd mine today.

Pickguard has to go-it's in the way of high E.

Cheap bridge buzzes no matter what you do. Replacement solves problem.

And the tailpiece is like a really bad last minute install. Like a ski-jump.

Needs to be an inch or two shorter.

    Pick-ups and neck are sick!

Just needs some upgrades-2 bad for $800

  • @oldvinylrecordings

That's because the bhridge and tailpice are crap.

    I just bought one too.

Too bad Lerch was not honest-he must work for Eastwood.

  • Hey Telebasher , i just got this guitar today and got stock strings on it but i think they are really bad.. you had problems with stock strings too ?

    greets , wes

  • @telebasher the guitar seems pretty versatile, but how does strumming work? other eastwood guitars seem to favor a more laidback approach, but in a more rock or heavy blues oriented setting, does it let you cut loose? beyond that the lighter 50s, blues, and jazz all seem to work. whats your take?

  • Wonderful playing throughout the video!! Do you have sheet music for any piece that you're playing?
