beautiful, id save the x heads though, just cuz they r valuable, especially if this motor cme with that car you are putting it in.

Personally if i were running a street car i wouldnt port it out, i would only port it to match the gaskets or vice versa.
One of thiese days were gonna make our 340 from our 69 Cuda inta a roller motor. Roller Cam, Roller Lifters, Roller Rockers.. aluminum heads. Ohhh yeahhh :)

sucks that you have a post 71 340.. prety much a smog motor, if i were you i would put on some high flow heads, dual plane intake and bump the compression up to 10.5:1
then you would have one hell of a motor!

Thanks for the comment. The motor has X heads with hard seats, but I would like to put CNC ported Eddy heads on it at some point. It made 399 hp on the dyno when running with a borrowed 850 demon (was shooting for 400), but it it was just over 380 with the 670 Holly street avenger it will be running on the street.
