Toronto is awaiting the final call to confirm the deal while the Bruins are believed to be wrapping up all internal discussions before signing off.

Details to come.

Update 7:28 p.m- Deal Confirmed!
http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=291601

the Boston Bruins have traded their disgruntled sniper to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a first and a second round pick in 2010, and a first round pick in 2011. Kessel and the Maple Leafs then quickly agreed to terms on a new five-year, $27 million deal.

  • @OptimusReim34 it doesnt matter anyhow, they won the cup

  • @stanleycupdream

    Not so retarded now, huh?

  • @MikeFromCanada9 regardless of play, if you dont just back em up because hes on your team everyone knows hes a dick. I thought so when he WAS a bruin. My friend went to get his autograph and he groaned and said fine, reluctantly walking over after a game. He thinks too highly of himself, and thats why we hate em

  • This years draft sucks people. It's not like last years...kessel had 29 points in 70 games in his rookie season. Seguin has 22 points in 70 games right now.....If you want to talk about shit trades then let's talk about kaberle for colborne+a 1st rounder....colborne - kaberle.

  • @MikeFromCanada9 honestly ppl here were split on him. actually kessel was scratched 2 games in the playoffs by julien. i know upper management didnt like him much and he didnt like boston. the players in the locker room didnt like him, he wouldnt work out or do the extra things or back check. i liked him and thought his offense abilities were game changing. hopefully seguin and the future 1st round pick will be better

  • @cyber151 got the pick BACK

  • Burke is a baffoon! Wilson can't win! Phaneuf is in a coma! Kessel is a joke! Worst of all, The Ontario Teachers is as bad as Harold Ballard, except there's 1/4 million Ballards' instead of one! I can't even make it through the first period to watch Cherry anymore. I quit. I'm becoming a football fan. Go Packers.

  • @MikeFromCanada9 what are you retarded. kessel was a little bitch in the bruins locker room and didnt want to be there anymore, so the bruins moved on and ROBBED the leafs in that trade. If the leafs would have gotten Kessel + the picks and the Bruins just got Seguin the bruins STILL would win that trade.

Leafs got Kessel...a streaky 35g 60p player. Bruins got a future star line 1 center who will go 80+points. Oh and Taylor Knight, and who theyll get with the leafs pick this year + THEIR OWN

  • not if they trade sturm and ryder here in a couple weeks kessel for two 1st roiund picks was a terrible deal tyler seguin and a other top 5 pick will have more success then kessel im not dissing kessel hes goood but not as good as two top 5 picks

  • @TheXxJoK3rxX funny. I guess when Boston in the past 5 years, traded away 2 first round superstars. Kessel, thorton. Theyre going to do the same. And when those picks become good. Say bye bye to your cap space. Theyll get traded due to you guys having terrible cap troubles.
