sucks for the Red Wings because during the next game in that 1996 Western Conference Finals, Lemieux sought revenge on Kris Draper and checked him into the boards head first causing facial reconstructive surgery. And to rub it in more that game the Avalanche put a stop to Detroit's cup hopes that year. And if that was not bad enough the Avalanche went on to win the Stanley Cup!

Vladdy was one of the last true warriors of hockey. Someone who was tough and could dish it out and take it with doing all the illegal garbage you see today. We miss you terribly Vladdy!
