I could have spent an hour watching him interact back in 2008.
Though you know what would be a real moneymaker? If they made Toy Story Mania-exclusive Mr Potato Heads, with that special packaging and the hat, arms and feet as the carnival barker.
Of course he wouldn't move or talk, but I love that outfit.
Ya i can't stop thinking how they make him interact with people so accurately. I'd hate to admit there's a operator behind it but if not, it'll be hard to believe that DIsney's got one of the greatest AI in the world!...I went with a friend last week and he actually pointed him out saying "you, you in the black shirt!" and that totally trip me out!
I know how they make him do it. They use a new State-of-the-Art "Guest Recognition Program" that is able to focus in on certain guest features such as words, color, movement, and even facial expressions. And this is just a prototype. You'll be seeing this technology everywhere soon!
I think that they might have an operator, so when he tells you to raise your hand, he could see how many actually responded, which is probably what he said "Oh, it looks like we got a wise guy here," when asking "Raise your hand if you can't hear me."
