Carey House is a century-old home in downtown Burlington that has been modified to accommodate 10 physically disabled adults. In the summer of 2009, students from The Centre's Home Renovation and Women in Skilled Trades programs built a shed and helped to build a new deck for Carey House residents to enjoy. The Carey House project was driven by Cam Jackson, Mayor of Burlington, and supported by numerous partners and donors. The Centre for Skills Development & Training prepares students for dynamic and rewarding careers in the skilled trades by offering pre-apprenticeship training.
