I am sooooo glad i found this - loved this song - can't wait to show my daughter and play it back over years - tearing up BIG TIME! thanks for posting!
Love this song. I might have an f'ed up career, never did much in sport and have lost one of my two sons (through death) but my marriage is stronger now than when we were just married.
anyone got a ticket for the sunday night corner hotel later show on the 20th, that they want to swap for the earlier afternoon matinee all ages show so they can take their kids??
The first time I heard this amazin' song (and indeed anything by WPA) was when I opened a show for them in '90 in Montreal. I don't think they'd recorded it yet then, it was the Big Don't Argue tour. I was gobsmacked: it was the only time a song ever made me cry at a show. (Almost as heartbreaking/beautiful as all Mick's great songs was the encore, when the bassman came out on his own with a mandolin, & sang the best version of Sam Cooke's "I'm in a Sad Mood")
dunno who played it at the international rules last night but it was amazing

one of the greatest aussie songs ever recorded.
Has anyone got a clip of WPA singing "For A Long Time" which is another of their classics?
