  • @erikgiles1 lol just cause you cant open it dont down it...yes they are VERY difficult to open but they work good

  • Opening the top of the filter is a bit problematic. One of the sliders goes to the front and the other goes in the other direction. Then you have to wiggle the top a bit and the lid will come off. The directions for this filter are pretty lacking.

  • hey here's an idea, try talking about what all those magic parts are that you somehow find in that small box over there

  • 50 bucks at petco? There might be better ones

  • what the fuck is that

  • why ?

  • do not buy that filter sucks

  • anyone knows if that filter works good?

  • they are pretty easy. Canisters are on the outside of your tank, making them easier usually to care for then underwater filters like the fluval filters. Hang on back filters are obviously the quickest to maintain. There is another filter like the Zoo Med 511, it is called the Rapids Mini Canister filter and costs under $25. It is slightly less powerful than the 511, but half the price.

  • I just bought the Zoo Med 511 Canister Filter. How difficult is it to take care of these Canister Filters?
