Ramadhan is good time to give up smoking and for slimming. I did it and succeeded since 1993. Many authors have written books about fasting to slim and loose weight. It's the safest and healthiest method. Fasting also makes you strong, fit and active. it re-vitalises energy, combats exhaustion and stress and stengthens the hormons and immune system. This is I have personally observed. There are so many worldly bodily advantages in fasting, we must fast more frequently and not only in ramadhan
