I've been accused of that before. I think you're saying I'm full of it. I agree, and I appreciate the politeness of your approach. However if you've seen the Godfather, et al., it adds to the humor. Nice when biting sarcasm has something to bite.

Mafia knows the so-called "royal family" is all illegitimate, and blackmails them, so that the scale of this sketch is actually smaller than is the reality.

Be aware that mafia works for rome, and is not an independent agent.

I think you're taking it too seriously! I think the real point is to make it a funny sketch.

A time when British properness humor slams up against Hollywood style. When the specter of clandestine Mafia assassins makes entire police forces rush to pacify the Don; it's implied they could defeat an armored tank division if it came to that. It winks at how this scene in American film would have the Colonel offer a counter-threat, thus to produce unsatisfying fiction. Satisfying fiction calms the savage beast and stops the war better than advanced weaponry, I think, is the point.
