  • Michael Pearl advocates abuse and the fact he doesn';t understand that says it all to me. He has no idea about child development.

  • violence doesnt always beget violence, but it takes a special person. My mother was horribly beaten and abused by her mother, but swore she would never be like this to her own children. I am very lucky, and she is so strong.

  • Almost everyone in my hometown was disciplined in a similar manner to what this man advocates. We are not a small town of people in therapy. These people on this show, and the host are on a misson. They want to make the world in their own image. God help us.

  • it's been this generation that has said spanking is wrong. Just go down to the local mall or public school (and some private) and see how much respect you get from kids in general these days. See the resentment and bitterness and misguided ways of this next generation approaching adulthood- no boundaries, no moral warehouse, no consideration or self respect. I see it everywhere. Well done generation X you get what you have earnt, listening to these so-called experts

  • dumbass humans i bet they just beat thier child and say it was spankig idiots learn how to properly spank a child and not abuse them

  • Hurting anyone for ANY reason is going against someone's human rights!

  • I think beating is good, but with the minds of people today, they just look stupid. I have seen most parents beat their children in anger and finish with satisfaction, which I HATE; all they show is signs of anger, its good to be firm but I DO see anger in their eyes. And also the minds of kids today, with this enviroment these kids find ways of knowing anger and revenge: other kids, social media, cyber-bullies, bullies, mischievous kids, TV, etc.. Every generation's minds are different right

  • @mtwildflower his degree could be in business for all we know. He certainly knows his market and how to draw people in as he seems to have lots of followers and be making money from this. Its a scary thought that he's preying on stupid and/or vulnerable people. The whole thing sickens me.

You have 8 kids...??? Hats off to you! I have one and thats a handful lol!

  • @TheDharmawheel He has no formal training in child development or child psychology. According to the website, No Greater Joy ministries, "Though holding a BS from Crichton College, when Michael is asked for his credentials on child training he points to his five children."

Well, if that's all it takes, then I am more of an expert than Pearl is because I have 8 kids. I mean, really. And what he holds his degree in, doesn't say. I'd like to know.

  • @nybsbfan18 Sorry, he has a First Amendment right to do so. Anyone can publish books and really, that is a good thing.

We don't, however, have to buy them.

  • they should not allow this man to publish any books! burn them!
