Brief look at the life on the Stacked Hulls wrecks that lie off Portsmouth Olympic Harbour in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. These fragments are home to Smallmouth Bass and likely belong to schooners of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. Cold, fresh water preserves wooden vessels well in Lake Ontario

  • There are actually three hulls that fell apart when being towed out of Portsmouth harbour during a clean up mid 20th century.

  • Thanks for your interest in this site. There are two hulls, probably belonging to old schooner barges. No identification has been made of either. It's likely that they were simply sunk here - off the harbour - when they were no longer economical to operate...
