  • Yeah I doubt this is the original car used in the show. It's probably a replica. However it is an antique car. I keep forgetting to ask about the origins of this thing.

  • What's the story behind this? Where was it shot, and do you know for a fact if that was THE Beverly Hillbillie's car? (actually it was an Oldsmobile truck) Curious as hell! :-)

  • The truck belongs to our landlord. He brought it over to our Miami Gardens location to show off. I can ask him about it later.

  • I'm pretty sure it was a Stutts. At least, according to Jethro - and he's done gone plumb through the sixth grade.

  • LadyDragonsblood is correct. The authentic Beverly Hillbillies truck has be on display at the Ralph Foster Museum on the campus of College of the Ozarks at Point Lookout, Missouri (near Branson) since the 1970's. The vehicle was converted to a flat bed from a 1921 Oldsmobile touring car. Before the television series began, George Barris found the truck rusting away behind a feed store in Fontana, California.

  • @mdhobson The Beverly Hillbillies truck is a 1928 Oldsmobile, and is in the Ralph Foster Museum at the College of the Ozarks near Branson, MO. Paul Henning drove it around campus before they parked it inside the museum. I know....because it was part of my duty to clean the truck as I worked there.

  • @BornInAmerica That's the true story. The Olds was donated to the Foster Museum by Paul Henning, creator of the series. Henning and his wife also donated a huge tract of land northwest of Branson with the provision that it remain a nature preserve in perpetuity.

  • Barris said it was a 1920 Buick......and the original is at his Museum.......

  • Thats not their truck. The truck from the Beverly Hillbilles was a old 20 something oldsmobile that was made into a truck. The one and only original is in a museum in Branson. That dont even look like it. That looks like a old T or A ton truck.

  • The original Beverly Hillbillies car is in a Museum at the School of the Ozarks in Branson Missouri.
