i-ACT Jan 2008, Day 4 - Playing with children at Mile Camp

Hola Amigos! Many ask me: "but what can I do?" The genocide in Darfur seems so far, and out of our measly reach. Following the steps of our i-ACT team (a visit to the refugee camps) is not for everyone. But there are so many ways that we can be participants to a better world. We can teach our children to have respect for the life of everyone and show them the horrors of Genocide (when age appropriate). I do believe that our children can be the responsible leaders we need, to put an end to these tremendous humanitarian crises'. But it starts with us. You can start by getting together with the kiddies and watching and reading the i-Act entries at Let's begin to create the collective conscience needed to live in harmony with this wonderful world of ours. Also, please check out if you are investing without knowledge in Sudan, and divest!

Today's Action: In only a few days, genocide in Darfur will have occurred for five gruesome years. Khartoum could not have done this on their own; it takes thousands of dollars to commit genocide. It could be our own money that is investing in this genocide. Today, we ask you to take a look at your own life. Are you contributing to genocide through investments? Please take a moment to ensure that you are not paying for a genocide.
