@Takrosh509 The Internet is not the Web, the Web is an evil standard less de facto technology created subversively by Europe and those Godless Bastards at CERN!

The action of the rioters in London right now are the culture learning from Web 2.0. YouTube is one of the main players in the free for all abandonment of law and discipline amongst youth. YouTube and the Web have shown people a world were people don't have to pay for other peoples product/work, what we are seeing in London is the youth who have learned from YT et al that you can steal en masse and get away with. Google you are the most Evil Entity in the World!

@swearenger brilliant

I thought it was the near complete lack of journalists that was killing journalism. Web 2.0 has eliminated the need for adenda, commentary, and filtering and just given us the information.
We, as a society of choosers are collectively, the gatekeeper.

Yo fuck this guy. Srsly.

No, Web 2.0 affords us an opportunity to express themselves instead of listening to snobs like yourself laying down the law on what we should listen to and when. You are scared because you believe that only 10% of the world should control the other 90%. You are nuts! Debate me in New York and I will show you how it's done. Don't be a douche bag.

You are so way off with your theory. What's sad is that your self importance is overshadowing reality. Mainstream media declined because of competition. There are many events that the mainstream media will never broadcast, such as the brutalization of Rodney King.
-
Now remember boys and girls... unless you're spoon fed reality from cnn/foxnews you're not doing it right, the internet is an evil evil place and anything you hear from the internet that contradicts what the TV gods are telling you is concentrated SATAN

I think a lot of bloggers have too...
I read the book. He has many good points and many I agree with AND many I disagree with. If you have not read the book you do not know what he is really talking about.

If it wasn't for the internet, the American people wouldn't get to see the truth about what is going on in the middle east or even in our own country. Our mainstream media censors everything and tries to keep us in a bubble. The internet lets us see everyone's side of the story, not just what the special interest groups want us to see. Good Journalists lose their jobs because their boss tries makes them print/speak entertainment instead of real news! It's all about Money and The Ratings!
