The Khalsa tradition before the whole Tat Khalsa group and sgpc people changed the original documents-Suraj Prakash, Bhai Santokh Singhs other poetry, Khalsa memhima and other documents from early 1700's.

@1stDragonKing It does NOT get high before, as there were only 5 leaves in. Now, many people put in 5 handfuls. Baba Deep Singh Ji's battalion has done it since his time, the Tarna Dal. It was used as a medicine as the Nihangs were Chakar Varti (free roaming), and if they were in the middle of a jungle and mughals came to attack, they would use the Degh so if they got stabbed, there would be less pain even todays medicines use alcohol.It was the maryada before. but sgpc changed the maryada....
