Mardi Gras Indian practice at Handa Wanda in New Orleans. Members of Wild Magnolias and Black Eagles were there, maybe others as well. During this song different tribe members were introduced and presented themselves to the Spy Boy. This tradition is unique to New Orleans and it was an honor to be able to watch them practice their moves and pass the tradition down to new generations. They practice every Sunday night around 7:30. We were extra lucky because there was also a birthday party for the "Big Queen" and they stuffed us with incredible home cooking and tasty birthday cake! A wonderful group of people, and a valuable asset to the incredible city of New Orleans. This is a pretty low-fi video shot with a little digital camera, apologies for quality.
