  • Thankyou so much; I will add this to my regular practice. If you don't already have one, could you make a video on practicing balance for crescent kicks?

  • @whackowitch Not for that specifically, but a great way to get the hang of the balance for crescents is simply to do repetitions. I posted tutorials on crescents previously that are in my tutorials playlist which might help. But a quick tip for inside to outside crescents would be to shift your weight over your supporting leg during the first half of the kick, then during the 2nd half of the kick to shift your weight in the direction of the strike (to the outside).

  • great. now ive got to find TheUrbanDon's comment

  • I really appreciate the way in which you explain and exhibit your routines without any ego involved. From experience I find a lot of people try to show an exercise simply to look good but not for the actual exercise benefit in itself. But kudos to you, you're doing a grand job and I, as many others on youtube do, certainly enjoy your vids :)

  • Thanks Kwon...:))

  • @KaanAdam Slow is Smooth and Smooth is Fast. Most people concentrate on speed for combos instead of having solid technique linked by good footwork. They want Bruce Lee speed out of the gate, which doesnt happen. Slow it all down, put balance pauses (foot up) after each kick and then choose your foot placement before step down. Basically, if you cant do it smooth at a 1/10th the speed of a real combo, it will be a train wreck at speed. Slowly build up speed over months, not days. Hope that helps.

  • @EvVieNiamhNyx Make sure your base foot is at the same angle as Kwonkicker's in the vid or slightly less (meaning pointing forward). Most people over pivot and let their base knee buckle forward to take pressure off of the muscles from the high lift. Once you have that, lift your knee higher while keeping your body up over your hips/foot. For even more difficulty extend the leg as far as you can without letting the knee drop.

  • @stuffmaxim Line them up and knock them down. Basically, your number one priority is minimizing the number of attacks that can be thown at you at once, so use one person as a moving obstacle for the other. Every time 2 of them line up hit the one closest with a nice hard straight line tech that creates distances and set up for circular motion from the person behind. Rinse and repeat. Alternatively you can just kick the first person that enters range so hard that they die. Then smile.

  • good tutorials, congratulations.
