that's because it's not just one movie, it s a series of movies, that span into 5 video's that have way more racing, the first one is the most boring though.

2 revised series came after, in 98 and 2000, the 2nd series has the top secret gtr and other cars, the first series has akio and his beloved s30 racing,r32's porche 911's s130(280zx) and even z32's now im working on a new trailer and i'll post it up soon. im serious this time none of this 8 month crap. later

a part from this a lot of scenes where made with the stunt people really racing in the wangan at night like real racers and taking the risk of be in a accident or being caught by the police.

yep i made the currency check,

i paid last year 2,250 dollars or 200,000 yen and took a 1 year hook for being naughty.

in the 80s and in the begin of the 90s the cops where not that much into catching racers and drifters,but today,they discoverd the money pot so they are going full charge...

still if you pass a regular cop car running over 200 and its not a shirobyke they let you go,and try to catch you next time.the same go for the drifters,they dont want the risk of cause a accident.

you can if you know where you driving,and most of the people are following the same speed.

but if you doing by yourself or in a couple of cars and you cross an undercover cop car or a shirobyke they will stop you .

you will get a 3 to 6 months hook and a 2000 to 3000 american dollars fee.

Yeah, but from what ive heard from ex-pats over there, most cars and trucks on the highways travel at around 150km/h anyway, and most cops wont bother you if your doing only 40 over the speed limit, apparently because you have to pay quite a bit on toll fees they are quite lenient.

But i will admit i cant tell you first hand about this as ive only talked to people and read bits and pieces about it.

i know,but it still a huge infringement of the road speed and safety laws actually in footage right there.

no mater where (in jp)you cant go above 100 kph in any kind of road.

imo in the battle footage they are going around 150 kph.

midnight club...rich guys with no brain and a heavy foot.

i got here in the end of the 90s so i lost the bubble and the MC was already dispersed(some of then arrested),drift was the new wave at that time.(to do shuto kousoku the costs are obscene)

yeahh i know ,the gti r with no mods is almost 240 hp(a 325 is 300 more or less) plus 4wd ...well, was the image at the time(i might ferrari loosing to a little hot hatch)when i saw it ,that made me lol.

Well they are actually driving on the highways, in japan theres no licensing or regulations about filming in public so all the cars on the roads are actual civilians, but... you have to realise the cars being driven and filmed in the movie are staying well under 200kph probably more like 180kph and If you look at the history of the infamous Midnight Club, they got up to speeds of in excess of 300km/h some even hitting around 330-340, which is almost twice the speeds the stunt drivers are doing.
