  • Thanks for this video! I started with wide flat slippers thinking they would make a larger target. After switching to runners, I found it easier for the dogs to stand on as it is a firmer surface. Just thought this might be a helpful tip for someone! LOL!

  • @supernaturalbc2009 yes! the footware does make a difference to how easy this trick is for the dog, thank you for sharing this tip!

  • what kind of treats do you use?

  • @sn4pdragon I use real meat for treats cut into pea sized pieces you can also use very small amounts of cheese for a treat.

  • i love love LOVE your vids! they are extremely helpful! and do you have any tips on border collies? were getting a 8 week old puppy soon and i would like to be prepared. thanks!

  • @Hmenzi222 just to make sure you puppy proof your house (make sure ALL wires are out of reach of the puppy, because odds on a BC puppy will chew!) and think about maybe doing something fun like agility or something to keep them busy, oh and don't think your BC will EVER let you slack off! hehe! they keep you on your toes 24/7, that's the whole fun of them though :) enjoy your puppy :)

  • You have some lovely videos here, shared one on my facebook at Linda Corby, my daughter has a blue merle, we all love her to bits! Had border collies all my live and home would not be home without one around! Just got to love them!!!

  • Wow awesome! Whats the song btw???

  • Hi Sian,

I'm teaching my 9 month old border collie, Tessa, this trick and she is having trouble targeting both of her paws to my feet at the same time. If I ask her to target one paw to my foot while she has her other paw on my other foot, she will move her paw that was already in place. We have been stuck on this step for awhile, do you have any suggestions?

  • I love this video. I am training this to my dog right now. Will post a video when we are done. This is really such a cool trick. What command do you use for it?

  • @zsianz1 We've been having a blast training this today! It's interesting how each dog 'got it' in her own way. Despite being the same height and only 10lbs difference in weight, they each feel very different on my feet and fit differently between my knees. Love this!

  • hahaha so cute! i 'll try with my cocker puppy .P

  • thanks always great to see others do things and I tell my puppy people to look at utube as it is so helpful I will certainly get others to look at your channel
