I had the great pleasure of operating that exact engine with Craig as my instructor. I managed to make it around the yard without too much major damage. An awesome experience. If you ever have the opporunity to do it, don't hesitate.
if driving a locomotive isn't on your "bucket list" it darn well should be.

@NarodnieMstiteli These days a "weed cam" is located in a dispensary in San Francisco.

Hey, this came up as a Featured Video on my suggestion list while I was watching Coaststarlight11's Feather River Express at Portola Video.
Congrats, NM!

@Nathanrailfan Yeah, the Kodachrome GP9 is a really nice unit, even with faded paint.

Very cool, five-star! I had not watched this all the way through, for some stupid reason.
It brings tears to my eyes, remembering what neophytes we all were and what seasoned engineers we are now ... oh, wait, that's me noticing how much hair I had two years ago, and I still need a shave!
Great work Don, the music, images and video all bring it together. And that virginiatruckee Jim's interview wasn't half bad. I saw Craig just a couple weeks ago at Railroad Days, he's great!

@renorailfan From my recent experience, I wonder if they have reviewed their weed cam policy.

Hey, at 2:12 it sounds like me asking him for a "little publicity speech," was I shooting this? I forget.

@virginiatruckee I think that you were shooting. Could be wrong.
