Confessions of a Nursing Student 2 3/4: Labor and Delivery

Hi Guys...another "episode". I know this is edited terribly, and I realize I say "um" alot...so if the video choppy its because I had to edit out alot of the "ums". I am going to try to work on that. Also I need to add the annotations to the video...so if you're watching this and there arn't words up yet then hold on a sec because I'm probably working on it. Great blog. I'm in nursing school now doing OB 2 days a week and med surg 1 day a week.

I absolutely love OB. My 2 favorites are newborn nursery and mother-baby post partum. In L & D I've seen vaginal & a few sections. There's not always a lot of blood w/c-sections. Sounds like they hit the uterine artery.

I saw gastric bypasses & wound care last qtr so OB is less overwhelming if other things like that are experienced first.

I loved OR but OB is where my heart is so far.

I love your video and I really wanna be a Labor and Delivery nurse too. :-) I am getting my pre-reqs done now and hopefully will be applying for nursing school sooner than later.

hello, I enjoyed watching your video. Well to start off I just graduated high school last month. I need advices from people and I believe you can be one of them. I am interested in becoming a rn labor and delivery nurse. Would that be under OB? I am confused and I am new to this. I am going to a community college first because they have a nursing program there. What would you suggest I should do?

I would just like to thank you for the videos, im in the process of watching them right now, and i must say its really great to see someone talk about their experiences through out nursing school, and especially L&D because thats what i want to do, and im just getting an idea of what to expect before i go to school (im only a highscool Jr.)

my confession is that i am a little worried about going into L&D because i am a guy. =/
